I am a professional photographer, ideally placed between the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the Lake District in the northwest of England.

In addition to leading general and more specialist digital photography workshops and holidays, I photograph no more than ten weddings each year, and I provide bespoke family and commercial photography services on request. For several years I have been the official photographer for some of the best music festivals in the north of England.

My work is informed by the belief that the best photographs—whether landscape, wedding and portrait, even commercial—are those that provoke an emotional response from the viewer.

I work from my base in the beautiful Howgill Fells just outside of Sedbergh, which is not far from Kendal, Lancaster and Carlisle.

  • Leader at HF Holidays Photography holidays—I’ll be leading ten of these workshops and holidays in 2011
  • Photographing no more than ten weddings each year

  • Photography adult education tutor for Cumbria County Council—beginners then intermediate in the Autumn and Spring terms of 2010/11
